Atlanta Both Hot & Not
#17 - 0--nastrac--Atlanta Both Hot & Not--2005-03-19 09:22:17
#A nice 16 car field showed up for a race at a HOT Atlanta speedway. While the real CTS was busy running to a close finish, Nastrack battled at the same Atlanta track to see who would stay HOT. Hotlanta as they call it proved to go both directions at the Nastrack event as our point leader and seemingly unstoppable Budweiser Chevy driven by Boss won his 3rd event in a row all the while leading again in all bonus categories. Boss stomped to this win while leading 99 laps of the 114 lap race.

- Hope for the rest of the field was seen as although Boss won again, he wasn't the fastest car on the track. Jayman proved to be HOT with a scalding fast lap of 28.045 but was involved in an early wreck on lap 17 that ended his race. TMC also turned in a nice lap of 28.186 but came up short with engine failure with 9 laps to go. The points battle saw some big changes! This week's mover of the week saw Noles_Fan gain 7 spots in the points and stevedapizznip gain 5 spots. Two of our drivers took big hits at Atlanta seeing blurredvision drop 5 spots & Jmiskie plummet 14 spots because of DNF's. We know these two classy competitors will be back next week to regain some of those spots as they both have "Fast Rides". Nastrackers did another great job running manual cautions at Atlanta with the majority of the night spent under GREEN. Great job by all drivers!!! You guys showed alot of patience and classy "Give & Take" to yield a really great race. Great job again by all!! Nastrack preps to head out west to Las Vegas for another fast event with very little banking to see who can make the transistion from the Heavier banked track at Atlanta.
